I believe the darkest parts of us hold
our greatest treasures. So many of us spend much of our time
focusing on what is “wrong,” perceiving parts of ourselves as
undesirable or defective. I challenge people to see themselves
through a more compassionate and empowering lens. I work to help
others gain acceptance of what is and draw closer to that which
they avoid. I accompany people in facing their darkness and
finding meaning and movement in their suffering. My goal is to
assist people in gaining more freedom, more acceptance, and more
presence in their daily lives.
I specialize in working with addiction
and family members of addicts and alcoholics. I also work with
those of the LGBTQIA+ community, women’s issues, and those
struggling with anxiety and depression. I work with adults only;
18 and over. I utilize Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT),
Narrative Therapy, and Mindfulness in my daily practice.
I am a Clinical Mental Health Counselor
and a Substance Abuse Counselor. I obtained my Masters from
University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and am an adjunct professor in
the Professional Counseling program. I am passionate about
advocacy and engage in public speaking opportunities related to
mental health and addiction in my community.
I value honesty,
empathy, and respect. I welcome all ethnicities, sexualities,
belief systems, and abilities. I speak plainly but with love. I
am a spiritual person and approach counseling as sacred work. I
enjoy working with people who are willing to be challenged and
eager for change. I am excited to meet you!
