  Meet our counselors:

Kathy Thome, LPC

Your life does not get better by chance.   It gets better by actively challenging and changing that which no longer works.  My own experience in counseling helped me get “unstuck”.  The tried and true methods I had used to cope were no longer helping and were in fact, working against me.  When you are ready, I am here to help you make your own changes.

Jennifer Olkowski, LPC, CSAC

Human beings are wired for struggle.  Yet, we live in a culture that tells us that if we are struggling, then we must be doing something wrong.  This myth is dangerous and flat out wrong.  Struggle is not a sign of failure.  Struggle is a natural outcome of living life.  But struggle can turn into misery.  This happens when we engage in behaviors that are destructive.  All behaviors serve a purpose.

Stephanie Ferguson, MSE, LPC, NCC, CCMHC

As human beings we need connection with others, yet so often our negative experiences cause us to fear and withdraw from vital connections. Connecting with and helping others is my passion. My genuine, empathetic and relatable personality helps to build trust among clients, while providing a safe, compassionate and understanding space where people are heard and seen. Through my own struggles, I understand how difficult it is to express your deepest thoughts, feelings and fears; I want you to know I am there with you every step of the way. You are not alone.

Angie Schneider

I believe in our kids. I believe if they are given the opportunity to learn and express their emotions in healthy ways, as well as learn effective coping skills, they can thrive.

As a therapist, my first goal is to connect and develop a trusting relationship with the child. I work with elementary and middle school age youth and my areas of expertise are: depression, anxiety, death of a loved one, impulse control, divorce, a cancer diagnosis of a loved one, and self-esteem concerns. I provide a non-judgmental approach and incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, self-regulation skills, Client Centered and play therapy.
