Counselor Profile: Alex Blackstone

I am passionate about walking with clients on their journeys toward healing, and I believe in an integrated, collaborative therapeutic approach, working with clients of all ages, genders, and backgrounds to determine which approach is most compatible with them and their goals. I also believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship. I strive to combine perspectives and ways of doing therapy in a way that provides my clients with counseling that feels authentic and beneficial. I understand that every individual is made up of a number of different identities, and seek to acknowledge and understand how those identities come together and interact with one another.

I am particularly passionate about providing therapeutic services to the LGBTQ+ community, neurodivergent clients, clients who have experienced trauma, and their loved ones. I also see clients experiencing life transitions, stress, anxiety, and depression. 

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my spouse and our menagerie of rescued cats and dogs, playing and coaching roller derby, camping, and any creative hobby I can find.
